Virgin of Candelaria - classic medal

The Virgin of Candelaria is the patron saint of the Canary Islands, but she is also venerated in many other places and her devotion is very widespread. Her feast is celebrated, according to the Catholic calendar, on February 2 in memory of the biblical passage of the Presentation of the Child Jesus in the Temple of Jerusalem (Lk 2;22-39) and the purification of the Virgin Mary after childbirth, to comply with the prescription of the Law of the Old Testament (Lev 12;1-8).
