Saint Cecilia, Roman virgin and martyr, patron saint of musicians. Despite being one of the most popular saints of all time, very little is known about her. Tradition says that Cecilia offered her virginity to the Lord. But her father wanted to marry her off. So, against her will, she was given in marriage to Valerian, a young pagan. On the day of the wedding, saddened by not being able to dedicate her life to Christ, Cecilia asked the Lord for peace and strength. Then, while the musicians played, she began to praise God with songs in her heart.
